Congratulations! You're on your way to starting a new student group. Here are the steps on creating a new student group.

1. Meet with the BSO for Orientation
2. Submit a constituition to the Student Senate Parliamentarian [click here for template].
3. Attend the Student Senate meeting at which the constitution will be voted on (the parliamentarian will inform)
4. Attend the BSO meeting to be recognized as a new group
5. Two officers (treasurer and one other) need to attend Student Organization Officer Training (SOOT)
6. One member of the group needs to attend BSO meetings on a regular basis (every three weeks on Friday afternoons) to maintain active status.

Once you have completed all these steps, you are now recognized as a official student group sponsered by the current BSO executive board. This will allow you to have access to Student Activity Funds for your group's purposes [events, meetings, trips, etc.].
