President: Brad Watts Description: The VSO is being formed for the following purposes: 1. To provide transitional assistance for Veterans returning from active duty and going to USM. 2. To create a place where Veteran's can seek the solidarity (the feeling of "belonging") that no other groups or clubs currently offered at USM can provide. 3. To create a safe place for Veteran's to come together and discuss in order to overcome the challenges associated with transitioning from Military life to civilian, student life. 4. To provide activities for Veterans on campus in order to promote a healthier living and to reduce the chance of substance abuse problems, disconnection, and Veteran student drop out. 5.
