History Students Association
Group Name:
History Students Association
| Description:
The History Students Association (HSA) is a group of history majors and any student of history wishing to further their knowledge of history outside of the classroom. The HSA sponsors outside speakers to help the USM community in expanding our knowledge of the larger world, and current issues as they relate to historical events. The HSA also organizes professional and intellectual events of benefit to students of history and the USM community. For example, the HSA has
sponsored a series of movie nights to highlight events in American & World history, presented by a History Department professor including a discussion of the background and repercussions of events. The HSA also has sponsored informational events on getting into graduate school, and about using a degree in history in the "real world." If you are interested in the casual pursuit of history, give the History Student Association a call!!! |
